As the world progresses through these challenging times, Compass Group NZ is very thankful to each of our frontline staff who have been at the forefront of these times ensuring we were able to continue to provide support to our clients. We are taking this opportunity to celebrate some of our frontline heroes.
Let’s meet Leny Dinamling from our Senior Living business who has been amazing in leading and supporting her team during these challenging times. Leny was hands on in communicating all required HSE messages, ensuring each staff member knew what they had to do to keep themselves & the site safe during the crisis. Service levels never dropped, and she ensured we provided the best possible service to the clients.
Leny says “When Covid-19 unfolded at our site, it wasn’t easy but really difficult as there were mixed emotions and fear for the safety of my family and my team that caused stress and pressures because I was very focused on giving our best service to our client. My family came to a point where did not want me to continue working however the thought of the residents and my responsibilities as a manager gave me the motivation to continue to serve my purpose. My top most priority was remained to guard the safety of the whole team, following the company’s protocol especially when it comes to distancing, wearing a mask and gloves, frequent hand washing and staying in our bubbles. Staying focused, alert and staying in our own bubbles was very effective during these times.”
“Further this is my opportunity to acknowledge those people who supported me during these challenging times which include the Health and Safety General Manager, Jamie Wan ensured we were safe. Our General Manager, Craig Peploe who has been constant support and my multi-site Manager Wayne Tombs who was there to support and help me face the challenges. Not forgetting my previous manager Brenda Guptill who was a source of encouragement throughout this journey. I am truly grateful to have them with me even just over the phone, it really means a lot to me because I know I have them and we have the same spirit to face these challenges together.”
