Partnership feeds Kiwi kids

KIWI kids will benefit from the generosity of New Zealanders, thanks to a new partnership between Eat My Lunch and Compass Group New Zealand (Compass).

In a first-time agreement with a major food services provider, Eat My Lunch hopes to be selling its lunches and dinners across Compass sites in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton. Within six weeks, 1,674 lunches were given to Kiwi kids that would otherwise have gone without.

“Wow! This is such a great opportunity for us all. Every time a customer buys an Eat My Lunch meal they will be giving one of our kiwi kids a nutritious lunch,” says Compass Retail and Supply Chain Solutions Director Jane Fitzpatrick.

“To start our journey, we are trialling sales at a few of our sites including The Warehouse Group over two weeks. In the first week, we had 450 customers Give a lunch to a kiwi kid in need.

“At The Warehouse Group staff café, we sold out by 12.07pm!”

Eat My Lunch CEO and founder Lisa King, says: “It’s great to be able to work with Compass, and offer Eat My Lunch as a choice to their customers. We are on a mission to feed 25,000 kids every day, and this partnership goes towards helping us achieve that goal.”

Currently, Eat My Lunch delivers around 1,880 GIVE lunches a day to 55 schools across Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton.

Jane adds, “At Compass, we believe that food heals, connects, restores and delights people. It is a belief that we share with this great company and its founders Lisa King and Michael Meredith. We’re proud to be part of this and we know our people are delighted to be able to help us all give back.”
